This guide contains specific information related to the chapter, The Nice Backpack, and will contain information about the story for that chapter.
At a certain point in the game the child will ask you if they can get a backpack. This event will not occur in any specific chapter but you must have completed the first two chapters, Moving In and First School Week in order to be eligible for this interaction to occur. If you confirm that you’ll get the nicest backpack you can, a new item will be added to the village shop. You can buy this item for 500 coins.
The shop keeper will inform you the backpack will have to be ordered, will unlock a new chapter, and may take a while to arrive. During this time the filofax will keep the to-do item of getting your child a backpack unchecked until the backpack arrives.
This may take several in-game weeks to arrive and will not happen immediately. You will need to not be in a current chapter for the backpack to arrive. Once the chapter, The Nice Backpack begins only will the chapter start, and in the first day of that chapter you will be able to go to the store to acquire the new backpack and complete the rest of that chapter.
