The child is missing from home and has not returned with no way to advance forward in time
In some chapters, the child may disappear for one or more time units as part of the story. This is typically intended as some moments require you to discover a development in the story during the child’s absence. However, you need to do activities without the presense of the child to spend time units. These activities can help.
- MOST RECOMMENDED – Preparing food in the kitchen.
- If you have no food, try seeing if you can go to the village shop if it is open and spend gold to obtain new food. Remember you can watch ads either from the TV in the Living Room or directly from the Village Shop to earn additional gold. Remember the shop is only open Monday through Saturday of the in-game week during the first six time units.
- Doing any available Laundry in the bathroom.
- Start a renovation somewhere in the house.
- This is recommended only if you cannot do the two other activities. Wall painting renovations are always available in the child’s room regardless of progress.
- To start a renovation, click the paint brush icon on the upper left of the game UI to go into decoration mode, then click the paint brush icon that appears in the buttons on the bottom to go into renovation mode. Click on a wall or floor in the room and select to begin a renovation. A renovation can spend up to 3 time units to complete.
Important! Be sure to check for changes in the story after each Time Unit is spent. In some chapters, you may need to attempt to relocate your child some where in the house or elsewhere in the village. If you do not do this, and continue to spend the time units to the end of the day, the child will automatically return to the house, but it may result in an undesired result for your current chapter.
If the child disappearing occurs while not in a chapter, or fails to return by the time you spend all available time units, you may want to report the issue as a bug to us. Report bugs by going to our community discord.
