Backing Up and Recovering your Game Progress

You can back up and preserve your game progress using the Unity Player Service. This is handy for technical troubleshooting or when you need to move your game to another device. 

Setting up Cloud Authentication

After you have started playing and can access the Filofax, click the gray tab with the ⚙ icon to access the game settings. First click cloud authentication and sign into a unity player account. You may already have one if you play other games that use this service. This will open up your device’s web browser and you will need to sign up or log into your account.

⚠ Note – Unity Cloud Save & Account Syncing is not available for Google Play Games on PC ⚠ – We are working to resolve an issue with the PC client not being able to link to Unity after launching the Unity site from in-game. This makes cloud backup currently not available to use from the PC client at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Backing up your game data to the cloud

To back up your game data go to your game settings and click on the Upload to Cloud Save button and this will override the cloud data to your current progress. 

You should manually back up your data periodically. You are allow to create one back up every 24 hours.

Retreiving your cloud data

If you need to retrieve your game data because you are installing the game on a different device or there is a critical bug preventing your progress you can do so by clicking the Retrieve cloud data.

Please note, only data that you have manually backed up previously can be retreived. If you get an error stating an account error, then that means there is no viable cloud data on record. We are not able to recover corrupted, outdated, or loss save data for any reason and no compensation will be given for loss of progress. (You can retreive non-consumable paid purchases by clicking Restore Purchases.)

Backing up your save data

To back up your save data go to your game settings and click on the Upload to Cloud Save button and this will override the cloud data to your current progress. 

Delete Save Data

At anytime you can delete the local save data on your game. This will immediately take you back to the starting menu. 

⚠ WARNING! ⚠ – While deleting your local save data will not wipe out your cloud data, you need to take care to not override your cloud data with your new game save data if you want to keep the old game data.

⚠ WARNING! ⚠ – You should not attempt to wipe your data if you are hard stuck in the game. Instead join our community discord and start a support ticket for immediate assistance.

⚠ WARNING! ⚠ – While deleting your local save data will wipe all consumable currency and story charges and reset back to the beginning. We cannot restore purchases for coin bundles or chapter charges for any reason.
