As you play the game, you will encounter moments when the story is paused from progressing. If the book is closed and you see the , , or displayed, this means that the needs of your child needs to be fulfilled before you can qualify for discovering more chapters.

Addressing your child’s comfort

You can raise the comfort level of the child by participating in activities with the child including:

• Preparing food while the child is present
• Drawing with the child in their room
• Playing hide and seek with the child
• Playing a board game with the child
• Reading a story at nighttime
• Combing their hair
• Walking them to school

Address your child’s cleanliness

You can raise the cleanliness level of the child by giving them a shower or washing their face. A shower will restore the entire cleanliness meter, while washing the face only restores part of it.

Address your child’s appetite

You can raise the child’s appetite level by feeding them. Remember prepared meals often replenish more to their appetite than ready-eat meals. You can purchase food from the village shop when it is open. You can also forage for food in the forest or fish in the harbor for free food on the weekends.
